Guests have found the cottage in Oakham to be a delightful place to stay, with its great location and spaciousness being particularly appreciated. The property is generally clean and comfortable, and the host's welcoming nature has been noted. While some minor issues with facilities and maintenance were mentioned, these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
The property is consistently described as clean, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness upon arrival. However, there is a minor mention of a scruffy hot tub surround which suggests room for improvement in the upkeep of the property's exterior.
The location is highly praised for its convenience and proximity to local attractions such as Oakham and Rutland Water. Guests enjoyed the quietness and the ease of access to nearby towns and facilities.
Overall, guests found the property comfortable. There were some concerns about the quality of the master bed and a lack of mirrors in the bedrooms, but these were not seen as major issues. The property was deemed spacious and generally conducive to a relaxing stay.
Facilities were adequate but there were several comments about missing items such as a bin carcass, cooking utensils, and instructions for appliances. The heating issue in one review suggests that maintenance could be improved. Despite this, the property was well-furnished and equipped for most needs.
While guests appreciated the host's welcoming nature, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. One review mentioned essentials provided free of charge, but as this is not a recurring theme, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

As we visited early October the park was very quiet which we enjoyed, but I suspect it could get very busy during the summer months.

We had everything there that we needed and it was nice and clean. It is in a good location for visiting places, Oakham less than 10 minutes and we used the trains from there, Rutland Water and Melton Mowbray nearby too. It was good for us as we were catching up with families in the area .

Outlook spoiled by scruffy falling down hot tub surround opposite. Very quiet. No onsite facilities. Nowhere interesting to walk to from property. Equipment we could have done with........... Placemats, grater, colander, ovenproof dishes. .
