We enjoyed a lovely few days on Mersea Island and felt very welcome and comfortable at Secret Sea View. The views from the balcony were amazing, and we spent many relaxing hours there reading, eating and enjoying a drink. Our hosts, Gill and Paul, were very friendly and welcoming. There was plenty to see and do in the local area, and we hope to return again in the future.

I wanted to hide away from the world for a few days, and this semi-detached house was just perfect for that. The house is in a beautiful condition, very well maintained, it is very private, and has both a downstairs patio and an upstairs balcony, where you get a lot of sun, plus sea views. It is not a place for cooking elaborate meals but the kitchen is OK (no freezer or oven), and for one person or a couple the place is very spacious. The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and always responsive. The beach is a few minutes' walk, and Mersea Island is a nature lover's paradise!
