Lodge itself was well equiped and postion was perfect for exploring the Lake District area. The park also had an area for walking dogs which was perfect as there was no where else to go. The park itself was quiet and peaceful. Unfortunatly what let the lodge down was how clean it wasn't. The hob had grease all over it and the toilet was also not clean which was disapointing and just general basic cleaning around the lodge was not evident and needs attention. There was also many maintenance issues around the lodge including at the front door where there was water leaks and marks including where some kitchen roll had just been forced into a gap. Parking was right next to the front door which is great. The price was good and we stayed Mon to Sat but cleaning should be much much better as this can cause health issues.

Needs a complete refurbishment wasn’t very clean. Double bed wasn’t comfortable had to sleep in single beds. Big stain on floor and smelled of damp.No welcome pack not even a dishwasher tablet. Had to make the best of it or it would have ruined our holiday.
