We were skeptical when we booked this place because the price was very good for what we were getting. However when we reached and saw everything, the place exceeded our expectations.The cabin itself was modern yet cosy. Clean and stored with all the necessities. It had a stunning view and a patio where we can enjoy that view. Loved that the heating worked properly as I get cold a lot. They had a fully stocked kitchen with pots, dishes and utensils but there was only 1 small pan. We just brought a big one of our own from home. The owner was considerate as the oven wasnt working when we went but they refunded us a certain amount and gave us an air fryer free of charge. There were also plenty of spare bedsheets, blankets, pillows, towels. The town was only 10 minutes away which had an aldi, lidl, sainsburys. There were also cafes and other local shops with really nice friendly people. The book shop was lovely. Overall it was an amazing stay and would definitely recommend. We’ll also be coming back.

We enjoyed our stay at Forest Lodge. We visited Cockermouth for supermarket groceries. We toured Keswick, Honister Pass, Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and Bowness on Windermere. One day we had a visit to the coast. A very enjoyable stay in Forest Lodge.

Enjoyed our time. Lots to do in the Lake District. Wish we had more time. The cottage was great as advertised. About 10 min away from services. Quiet and peaceful.
