We spent 4 nights at Kates gorgeous shepherds hut and it was blis! The place is as described with lots of lovely homely touches and is immaculate. Its bigger than your average shepherds hut which was great as plenty of space and separate little rooms for each area which we liked. Location is ideal, lots round about and Cockermouth is super close and has everything you need. The hot tub caused some confusion initially but its £30 for the night or if multiple nights Kate applies a discount. We used it twice so paid £40 direct to Kate. The communication was a bit strange as cottages sent quite a few duplicate emails and sent incorrect directions. Best thing to do is ask for Kate the owners number as she is great and her communication is excellent. Kate went over and above for us during our stay which we appreciated. As a side note, the hut is within an enclosed area but if your dog is small like ours, they might fit through the gaps! Would definitely visit again and highly recommend
