Brandelhow House is a well-received holiday rental in Keswick, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and tasteful furnishings. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the town centre and the ample parking available. The comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen are frequently mentioned, though some guests noted the absence of a downstairs toilet and suggested the addition of a second fridge. Despite minor issues, the property is often rebooked, indicating a high level of guest satisfaction.
Guests consistently describe the property as very clean and well-presented, with several noting it was spotless upon arrival. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the overall experience.
The property's location is highly praised for being within easy walking distance to Keswick town centre. The availability of parking and the convenience for exploring the local area are appreciated by guests.
The property is commended for its comfortable furnishings and cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned that the double beds could be larger and the presence of a damp issue in one room suggests a slight deduction in comfort for those affected.
The property is well-equipped with a utility room, good-sized kitchen, and superb bathrooms. However, guests have suggested improvements such as additional pans, a second fridge, and a downstairs toilet. A few maintenance issues like a dripping tap and a damp problem were also reported.
While guests find the property accommodating and well-equipped, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.
The front door opens to the hallway and as you step through the door the original Victorian features become apparent but are complemented by the modern presentation of this traditional property. The living room has a large bay window and comfortable sofas are arranged around the TV and fireplace. The dining room is presented with a large family dining table and patio doors open from here to the patio at the rear of the house. The spacious kitchen is well appointed and the breakfast bar makes this a more social space. To the side is the utility too with laundry facilities. To the rear there is a paved patio area with outdoor dining furniture and a lockable store ideal for mountain bikes and outdoor gear.

Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. A short walk to Keswick centre. There were only 4 of us but had 6 of us been there, it was very roomy and we would stay there again.

Plenty of space for 6 and 2 dogs. Great kitchen, although fridge v small for 6 and it froze lots of the food stored on the bottom shelf. V useful utility and back entrance for muddy kit. V nice to have separate dining room and comfy lounge. 2 double beds were small for taller people. Wifi reliable for work purposes.
