Barton Hall Farm can be found just outside Pooley Bridge, the village at the outfall of Lake Ullswater. Set in the countryside on a traditional working farm, this area offers some of the most wonderful landscapes in the region from the privacy of a secluded rural setting. It is minutes from Lake Ullswater, with its walking, water sports and ponderous steamers making their regal-like journeys up and down the lake in the shadow of the majestic fells. This area offers many forms of recreation, whatever season you choose to visit. All three cottages have been tastefully converted from original old stone farm buildings; and wherever possible the original features have been retained. Old pitch pine beams stretch unhindered through bedrooms and across stairways and the local slate and sandstone are in evidence throughout. Guests are welcomed with fresh flowers, along with well furnished comfortable holiday accommodation, wood-burning stoves and well-equipped kitchens. Excellent cottage, well equipped and very comfortable beds. Lovely host on site. Perfect location, we spent ages just looking at the views from the lounge window (of hills, sheep and cows). One of our group was less mobile, so the ground floor bedroom and wet room was perfect. Would highly recommend Mill Moor and would love to stay again.

Mill Moor was the perfect holiday cottage for us to spend some quality time with family. It is in a perfect location to explore the Lake District and walking distance to, in my opinion, one of the very best villages on the lakes. Amanda was a fabulous host and welcomes us with gorgeous fresh flowers in the cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable. It was very spacious to accommodate our group of 6 adults and a toddler. It had everything we needed with a very well stocked kitchen to enable us to have meals in the cottage. We hope we are lucky enough to return. Thank you for a lovely stay
