The setting for the cottage is lovely - a beautiful garden with views of the fells and bordered by a river.Small niggles about the cottage itself - not the most comfortable chairs in the sitting room and nowhere to put clothes away in the downstairs bedroom. Overall though, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good-sized warm bathroom.Guests should bring most of their provisions or be prepared to drive quite a distance for food shopping as there is only one small village shop in Bootle and no pub.

The property was really lovely, it was spacious and clean the only downside was in the lounge there were only single chairs and I feel it would have been much more comfortable with a sofa.

As only 2 of us we used the downstairs bedroom and bathroom, bedroom ok but needed a good hoover behind the bed, the bathroom is in need of some TLC needs a big clean, the grout and sealing around the shower and toilet; the kitchen was excellent very well stocked if you wanted to cook but again could do with a deep clean , rear of sink needs resealed just a bit of love needed , we would stay here again great beaches nearby.
