Located within the hamlet of Lamplugh on the outskirts of the western Lake District, this property is nestled amongst relatively isolated, breathtaking countryside. With many walks from your doorstep, you can explore the remote Ennerdale Valley and the Loweswater fells. A little further afield, you can immerse yourselves in the dramatic scenery of Wastwater with views across to Scafell or, heading north, you can discover picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake. For families, Whinlatter Forest Park has a range of activities on offer, as well as walking and cycling trails through the trees. You also have lots of towns to enjoy nearby, such as Cockermouth (7.5 miles), Whitehaven on the coast and popular tourist spot, Keswick and its outdoor specialist shops. This grand Georgian farmhouse has been beautifully renovated; original features such as exposed beams, sweeping staircase and large sash windows sit effortlessly alongside mod cons to add character and comfort throughout. As you d expect from a property this age, the rooms are large and airy, ensuring everyone has plenty of space to spread out and relax.
