An outstanding, detached house in tiny Haws Bank, close to the centre of Coniston. The local fells provide superb walking, while Coniston Water offers sailing and leisure cruises. A great retreat to get together in this outstanding cottage.
Coniston is a lovely village set at the tip of Lake Coniston, in the midst of spectacular mountain scenery, in the Lake District National Park. Coniston has a number of amenities, and is the ideal base for a variety of outdoor pursuits. There is superb walking and climbing on Coniston Old Man, and watersports enthusiasts will enjoy dinghy sailing, canoeing or simply sitting back and relaxing on the steam gondola which crosses the lake. The attractions of the lakes are on the doorstep, including Hawkshead, the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Ambleside and Windermere.

It is very quiet and there are beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity. There was a much appreciated welcome basket of essential food & wine waiting for us on our arrival too, which was a very nice touch.

..comfy beds...nice quiet location near to local pub The Ship..and only 10/15 minutes walk into coniston village.nice country pubs ..decent food.we were 4 couples and all happy so all good x

My party of six adults found that everything required was available and the owner provided his contact details for any issues. The property is in an ideal position for visiting Coniston village or the wider lakes. We would definitely recommend and hope to return to Becks Fold in the near furture.
