An outstanding, detached house in tiny Haws Bank, close to the centre of Coniston. Outside, the garden of this superb cottage is set over two tiers, with dry stone walls built by local craftsmen providing a lovely space to relax and listen to the babbling beck that flows past. The cottage is set in a quiet, peaceful location with lovely views of the countryside and magnificent 'Old Man of Coniston'. The local fells provide superb walking, while Coniston Water offers sailing and leisure cruises. A great retreat to get together in this outstanding cottage.
Coniston is a lovely village set at the tip of Lake Coniston, in the midst of spectacular mountain scenery, in the Lake District National Park. Coniston has a number of amenities, and is the ideal base for a variety of outdoor pursuits. There is superb walking and climbing on Coniston Old Man, and watersports enthusiasts will enjoy dinghy sailing, canoeing or simply sitting back and relaxing on the steam gondola which crosses the lake. The attractions of the lakes are on the doorstep, including Hawkshead, the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Ambleside and Windermere.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful location and the warm hospitality. The house itself exceeded all of our expectationsâit was incredibly well-equipped with everything we could possibly need and more. It made hosting our birthday celebrations effortless and so much fun, with plenty of space and thoughtful touches that made the whole experience feel extra special. Every single person in our group had an amazing time, and by the end of the weekend, none of us wanted to leave. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. A special shoutout to Steve, our point of contact, who was such a lovely and attentive host. One of my friends accidentally left my birthday gift behind, and he kindly and promptly arranged to have it sent to my address, such a thoughtful gesture that really meant a lot. We would 100% recommend Becks Fold to anyone looking for a memorable getaway, and weâd all return in a heartbeat!
