We had a great week in Hawswater cottage the cottage it’s self has loads of character and the views are excellent . As it’s located on a working farm there are gates to be opened and closed to get to the cottage and can be very muddy as to be expected. We had two visitors beautiful black fell pony’s cheeky chaps at first but when they got used to us they left us alone. It’s a perfect base for walking the fells as there is access to them through a gate from the farm would love to stay again but next time we would go in summer hopefully the weather would be nicer.
