Lucy's Lodge is a cosy holiday rental with a hot tub, praised for its excellent location as a base for exploring the Lake District. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful setting and the convenience of nearby towns. While some guests have had a delightful stay, others suggest the lodge could benefit from refurbishment and attention to maintenance issues.
Several reviews mention cleanliness issues, such as a dirty fridge, a hot tub that appeared unclean, and a general need for a more thorough cleaning. These recurring comments suggest that cleanliness is below average.
The location is consistently praised for being a great base to explore the Lake District, with easy access to nearby towns. The scenic views and proximity to walking areas contribute to a high score.
Guests find the lodge cosy and the bed comfortable, but some have raised concerns about steep, slippery stairs and a bathroom that needs updating. The mixed feedback suggests an average level of comfort.
Facilities are a point of contention, with numerous guests reporting broken shower doors, issues with the hot tub, and a lack of kitchenware. The need for maintenance and updates is evident, leading to a lower score.

Myself and my husband, have a lovely staff for our wedding anniversary! Was exactly what we wanted, peaceful and cosy!.Sadly we had to terminate our stay on our anniversary 2 day's early, due to a family emergency..😔 we could have loved to have stayed for our full stay at Lucy's Lodge. We will definitely be returning in the future.Thankyou

Lucy’s Lodge could do with some tlc. The shower doors need fixing. The fridge was dirty when we arrived. We had to ask for a couple of cups so we could have a drink, as there wasn’t any in the Lodge. Also no wine glasses. The hot tub didn’t look like it had been cleaned too. On the whole disappointing accommodation. But it was a good location to explore the Lake District and we made the most of that.

Location was great. The overall idea of ‘Lucy’s lodge’ is great. However I did not enjoy it. The bathroom/ shower was absolutely disgusting it was grimy and falling apart. Half of the shower also didn’t work. The screen panel or any of the jets didn’t work. The seal fell of the shower, the doors hanging on by a thread. I was also really disappointed with the stairs they’re incredibly steep but narrow with smooth slippery slate. If you wore socks it was 50/50 chance you’d slip down them. Coming down the stairs was also a challenge because of the slanted roof I’m 5”6 and had to bend to come down which was also awkward because of how narrow the stairs were. The hot tub also stank of algae and had no chlorine tablets in the filter that floated around. I could not smell a single scent of chlorine either it felt really grotty. A lot of the cottage could do with some serious TLC. There is also only one radiator to heat the whole place
