It was let down by some maintenance issues mostly in the Bathroom, i.e. rusty radiator, extractor not working, constant water running into WC bowl and bath drain in need of clearing. The locking latch on the front door fell off on several occasions and the lock needs replacing as this is the only means of entrance to the house. When we arrived the key safe to the property was closed but not locked, an easy opportunity for a thief! We were disappointed that we had control of the central heating when the weather was miserable but as the week warmed up control was remotely removed from us and in the much cooler early mornings and late evenings we had no heating whatsoever. We have written the maintenance issues in the book provided and they will hopefully be rectified.

Could do with a few more tumblers and a couple of beer glasses. Also, bottle opener is on the scissors and not very easy to use, a separate one would solve the problem. Family bathroom cistern was running constantly and this had already been mentioned in the visitors book. Minor points only, overall an excellent property. We would definitely return to Lingmell, it is very well situated for walking to both Windermere and Bowness. Parking was available on the street no problem. Very good value for money, weâd love to come back.

Was abit cramped for 3 adults and 2 children. Having access to the spare double room would have been an advantage. Toilet in first floor landing constantly dripping, kept me up most nights, reported it but no one replied or came to look at it. Overall we would return as we have stayed here before but may have to access more bedrooms as kids are too big for the single beds now. But very nice flat and good location.
