Melody offers an excellent location in the heart of Bowness, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the lake. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and convenient parking. While the apartment is generally clean and provides good value, some areas could benefit from modernisation and minor repairs. Wi-Fi can be unreliable, and a few guests noted issues with heating and cleanliness in certain spots. Overall, Melody is a practical choice for those seeking a central base to explore the Lake District.
Most guests found the property clean, especially the essentials like bed linen and towels. However, several reviews mention dirty carpets, dusty glasses, and occasional stains, indicating some inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is consistently praised as excellent, with immediate access to the high street, eateries, and the lake. Guests found it ideal for exploring Bowness and the wider Lake District.
Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the apartment warm, though some mentioned soft mattresses and issues with heating in certain rooms. The apartment is described as cosy but a bit dated.
The kitchen is well-equipped but some utensils and pots need replacing. Wi-Fi is unreliable, and there are occasional maintenance issues such as broken hooks, dated appliances, and minor repairs needed. Parking is a valued feature.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Overall we had a great stay in the Melody Apartment. It is in an amazing location and was a very good price. However, it was not the cleanest, there was crumbs on the table, stains on the bedsheets and the carpet was grubby. The highchair was so disgusting that we didn't use it, I would strongly recommend to get a new one. It is generally a bit dated and could do with some improvements. Also, parking over the weekend was a bit tricky, there was never a spot in the parking lot.

Flat very handy for local shops, restaurants and buses. Beautiful walk to the lakeside. Clean and tidy. Perfect for our week away.

Good value for money.PROS: Good price, great location. Kitchen, bathroom, heating were adequate. Adequately clean.CONS: Wifi was very weak and patchy. No washing machine. 2nd bedroom very small with no heating but a portable heater was provided, bit of black mould around the window which I wiped off. Heater in living area didn't seem to work but again, a portable heater was provided. The parking area is to the rear of the building, so about a 50m walk to front door.In summary, the CONS were not really an issue as we wanted to keep costs down (although my wife would have wanted better wifi), and I would recommend to anyone wanting a budget visit to the Lakes.
