In the heart of the bustling village of Bowness-on-Windermere, this fully refurbished, contemporary holiday apartment has been recently renovated including a brand new bathroom. Fabulous views of the lake and hills from the living room window, provides an ideal base to explore southern Lakeland. Just a short walk to the landing stage for ferry trips to Lakeside where there is the fascinating Aquarium of the Lakes and delightful Haverthwaite to Lakeside Steam Railway. Activities in the area include water sports, climbing, fell walking and cycling. Historic houses and gardens, museums and other cultural centres are within a short drive, whilst the beaches of the western lakes can be reached within an hour. There is a launderette 1/2 mile away. Shop and pub 10 yards.
Add-ons are available for garage space to store bikes, kayaks, canoes, and four mountain bikes and a paddle board are also available to hire, agreeable at an extra charge direct with the owner.

Strawberries and Cream is a lovely flat right in the centre of Bowness. It is well equipped for a self catering holiday.

The property is in a multi level series of flats . The instructions on parking were confusing as Cottages.com instruction was to find a gate which had a code to key in . We looked for this gate but ended up parking on the road which was less than convenient. The property itself was well equipped and a nice touch was that a bottle of Prosecco , a couple of beers and pack of biscuits was left for us . Beds were comfortable , although when we stripped the beds one of the singles had some staining on it . There are great places to eat in Bowness and some good pubs .

Had a nice weekend break here, at strawberrys and cream apartment. Location was excellent with lots to do for all ages.Flat was comfortable.Would definitely go to Bowness-on-Windermere again.
