Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a borehole.. Hidden away in a lovely, quiet setting and just packed with history, magical Honey Pots really does offer something special to discerning guests. Originally built in 1750 to house farm workers, this was originally two houses and was last occupied in 1941. The current owners have lovingly renovated it using reclaimed materials wherever they can, including beams that date back to the 1400s and tiles from the original cottage. Boasting two wood burners, a spacious bespoke kitchen, handmade doors and exposed brick and stone feature walls, you are sure to fall in love with this really unique cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped and has an Aga along with two separate electric ovens with grills, induction hob and also boasts a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. In fact the cottage, as a whole, really does have everything you need for a lovely holiday. Enjoy a meal in the formal dining room, a glass of wine by the wood burner or in the peaceful garden, or sit and read quietly in the porch/sun room. You will often see wildlife around Honey Pots including Breckland hares, pheasants, partridges, deer and multiple bird species.
If you can tear yourself away, you will find much to enjoy with walks on your doorstep with Thetford Forest High and Go Ape close by. Norfolk has a wealth of history, and there are numerous National Trust properties to visit, too. For a change of pace, you can be in Bury St Edmunds (with its famous abbey), Ely (with its magnificent cathedral), or Norwich (with its Norman castle) in less than 45 minutes. The historic market town of Swaffham is just 7 miles away. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Ik heb hier samen met een vriend 4 dagen doorgebracht in dit prachtige huisje. Toen we binnenkwamen was de host ook aanwezig en heeft ons het huis rondgeleid en verteld waar we op moeten letten tijdens ons verblijf. Wat echt een voordeel is van dit huisje dat er een elektrisch oplaadstation is voor je elektrische auto, dit was 1 van de punten waarvoor we ook voor dit huisje gekozen hebben. Wat ook een prettig voordeel is is dat de woonkamer voorzien is van een houtkachel waar je de woonkamer heerlijk mee kan verwarmen, voor een paar pond extra kun je een hele kist vol met hout gebruiken. In bijna alle ruimtes hangen er leuke authentieke prents die het gebied weergeven waarin je zit, het land van de varkens. De keuken lijkt wel een museum waarin Collin allerlei weetjes heeft opgeschreven van verschillende apparaten en keukengerei en de historie hiervan. Al met al een aanrader!!

This is a very special cottage, and the walks in the surrounding area are lovely. The beds are extremely comfortable and the place is cosy and warm. Great shower and bath. Plenty of places inside and out to sit and eat and chat.

It was truly a beautiful and memorable place. The cabin was spotles and fully equipped an antique-style space that takes you back in time for centuries. Everything was designed with great care, love, and attention to detail. The outdoor area was also wonderful, offering the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment. Inside felt like a small museum romantic and dreamy. I would like to sincerely thank the host for creating such a unique and unforgettable place.
