Aptly named from the Aboriginal word ‘Allawah,’ meaning ‘make your abode here’ or ‘remain here,’ this light and airy detached property invites you to stay and enjoy its spacious accommodation. It boasts two bathrooms, a ground-floor toilet, a well-equipped kitchen, and a sunroom. An outdoor electric sunshade allows you to enjoy the south-facing garden at any time of the day.
Venturing out, you’ll discover a string of pretty coastal towns and villages offering a variety of habitats, including wide sandy beaches, marshes, and quays. Nearby Hunstanton features the Sealife Centre, seasonal seal trips, and a host of other seaside attractions. Heading east, you’ll pass through local beauty spots like Burnham-Overy-Staithe, Brancaster, Holkham, and Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay and narrow-gauge railway that takes you to the beach adorned with pretty painted beach huts. Further along, you can enjoy crabbing on Blakeney Quay.
History buffs will appreciate visits to the Sandringham and Holkham Estates and exploring the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn. Bird watchers will enjoy trips to Titchwell, Cley, and Welney, while wildlife enthusiasts can embark on a deer safari in nearby Snettisham. Add in attractions such as Norfolk Lavender, great walks and cycle routes, and numerous places to eat and drink (many serving seasonal local produce), and you’ll understand why people flock to this part of the glorious Norfolk coastline year after year. Allawah house was lovely, very well equipped with plenty of space, sedgeford is lovely but could do with a local shop as we didn't find one but otherwise we had a great time with quick access to the pub across the road

Our third visit to Allawah House, and once again it was fantastic. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, everything is finished to a high standard, and it’s very well equipped, making for a very comfortable stay.The location is ideal for visiting nearby beaches — we highly recommend Brancaster for the dogs — as well as woodland walks around Sandringham and Snettisham Common. A little further afield, the Blickling Estate (National Trust) is also well worth a visit.The local pub, the King William IV, is just a short walk through the back gate, serves great food, and is dog friendly. The garden at Allawah House is safe and secure for the dogs, and the village hall playing fields are only five minutes away, leading on to some lovely countryside walks.
