With views to the sea and salt-marshes from its first floor, this is a house of character and elegance, standing in its own private lawned garden and close to the centre of little Cley and its beach. A spacious, self-contained wing of imposing Cley Hall (built in 1770), it is well furnished and equipped with an attractive living room with an open fire and a large fitted kitchen overlooking the garden. There is excellent sailing, fishing and bird-watching on the nature reserve immediately available. Golf, swimming-pool and beach at Sheringham (5 miles). Restaurant/pub nearby. Shop 1/3 mile.

A very large old property which was decorated as such. Very warm and comfortable. Only slight issue we couldn’t open the sash windows bar one. I love fresh air. Otherwise perfect.

Spacious, warm, clean and very comfortable accommodation. Loved the grandeur and calm of the place. Much appreciated the welcome ‘goodies’, endless supply of logs for the fire and lights on in case of late arrival.What a delight. Very much hope to return for a longer stay.

We had the most amazing time at The Old Butlers House. We visit the area alot and this time we were taking our Mums and the dog away for a mini break. The house was stunning and huge! The whole experience was perfect, the house was clean, there was tea, coffee and milk there waiting for us, and the beds were mega comfy!We will definitely stay again.
