Close to beach. Set in the popular town of Wells-next-the-Sea, in a residential street, this detached bungalow is within easy walking distance of the picturesque quay and popular shopping area, with its artisan shops and cafés. This is the perfect holiday base to explore one of the most popular areas on the North Norfolk coast. Visit Blakeney, with its trips to see the seals, and for traditional seaside fun, there is bustling Hunstanton, with its wide sandy beach, traditional seaside amusements and Sealife Centre. Also on the doorstep are lots of National Trust properties and Holkham Hall, which holds many events throughout the year. The market town of Fakenham, with its horse racing, is also close by, as is Pensthore Nature Reserve. A little further afield is the seaside town of Cromer, with its famous pier, and the market town of Sheringham, along with numerous Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and opportunities for walks and birdwatching. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

    We had a good week at Coastal Hideout. Everything was to our satisfaction and it was an advantage to have two double beds and two bathrooms,

    Our 3rd stay here and just as good. Has everything we could need and very comfortable. Easy stroll to harbour front and bus stop just around the corner.

    Good location, close walk and drive to town, good pub easy distance away. Co-op easy drive, or local shop walkable from car park, just down the road. We found the house pleasant enough, probably much nicer in the summer, we had a mix of weather, but were still able to sit in the garden once or twice. Lovely conservatory, big dining table, but over all, quite compact. Few trip hazards to be aware of, sills, back door step etc, but largely flat. Bathrooms good, very low loo in both however and only 1 walk-in shower. We found the beds rather worn and sagging, others may not agree. Gates should open out, but we found this tricky and with our car, parking was a little tight. It is however, off the road and safe enough. Outside lights very useful. All over, pretty, very quiet and convenient. Typically friendly and cheerful locals and Claire, the owner, attentive and helpful. Wine and biccies very nice, but could have done with some milk in the fridge. I arranged a Waitrose order for our arrival. Other supermarkets are available.
