Everyone (middle-aged parents, young adult "children") loved the Old Post Office, with its private walled garden for breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco, spacious living rooms, multiple hotel quality bathrooms and super comfortable beds. Perfect location in the quiet High Street so you can walk everywhere, convenient parking space for one car - perhaps we were just lucky but had no problem parking second car on Buttlands. Initially we were a little terrified by the sparkling white marble surfaces and German coffee machine (just couldn't make that one work) but found kitchen very well-equipped - we played hunt-the-freezer for a couple days but there is one in the utility room next to the sink. High quality fixtures and fittings, dishwasher/washer/dryer, everything you could need. The Co-op opposite the church means you don't even really need to make trip to Morrisons in Fakenham. Actually Frary's stall five minutes' stroll away on the quay means you don't even really need to make the trip to the Co-op, just live off lobster and French's chips for the week. We'd go back in a heartbeat - lovely place to stay.

The best holiday in Norfolk we've had yet! Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage. The weather has been fabulous! The Norfolk Coast Path walks are a must - we loved the walk from the door to Holkham Hall (lunch at The Victoria was superb, as usual), and The Hero at Burnham Overy Staithe. Our best meal at this holiday was at The George & Dragon in Cley-next-the-Sea. All the shops and pubs are dog friendly as always. The morning walk from the house to Stiffkey Store along the coastal path was beautiful. The cakes, pastries and sourdough as delicious as always. Jumping on the Coast Hopper bus to return makes all these walks easy. Lovely pottery from Made in Cley. Delighted to have booked for next October already! The dogs definitely didn't want to leave! Beautiful house, brilliantly located. Have had the most fantastic week exploring the delights (particularly culinary) of North Norfolk. Love North Norfolk Cellars (the Chandlery) round the corner, Caroline at The Red Lion, Stiffkey is a lovely warm hostess (am amazed this walk is done with toddlers in tow!) The Old Bank bistro in Snettisham is excellent for a celebration dinner (tasting menu). Have enjoyed all the wildlife; the birds, jellyfish on the beach, toad on our walk to Stiffkey. A juvenile black bird flew into the kitchen and got quite stressed trying to find its way out. Wondering if there is a way to mark the glass for birds without spoiling the view? Thanks.
