Newgates Cottage is bursting with character, a sweet little hideaway right in the centre of town. Well-equipped and comfortable, this historic cottage is popular with returning guests throughout the year.
Once part of The Chantry and dating back to the 17th century, Newgates Cottage still retains many of the original features, with latch doors and exposed beams throughout. Set over three floors, this charming mews-style cottage offers comfortable and cosy accommodation and will appeal to families and friends who enjoy the convenience of being able to walk out of the door and find everything they need right on their doorstep.
On the ground floor there is a good sized open-plan country style kitchen with adjoining dining area, well-equipped to rustle up a good meal if you are not tempted out by all the nearby eateries. There’s a handy shower room on the ground floor too.
The dual aspect homely sitting room is on the first floor, along with a king-size bedroom and family bathroom with bath and handheld shower. On the top floor is a triple bedroom with both a double and single bed.
Outside there is a small sunny courtyard garden to enjoy. Step outside and you are right in the delightful town with all its attractions including the quay and beach, then and mile after mile of open coastline to explore.
