Peacefully located on the outskirts of the pretty village of Fersfield, close to scenic walks and cycling trails this is a great base for exploring all that South Norfolk has to offer. Centrally located between both Thetford and Norwich a stay at Dodds Barn will allow you to take in the beauty of the area. Diss is only 5 minutes away by car. With a modern feel, Dodds Barn sits on its own large plot and benefits from views across open fields. Enjoy the tranquillity and bird song. A truly beautiful setting, the property is perfect for those who are seeking a rural getaway, or some well-earned peace and quiet with friends or family. Having said that, there are also plenty of places to explore and pubs and restaurants close by, many who will deliver to the property!
Up to 2 dogs are welcome (at cost), and there are some fantastic walks around the area, with Thetford Forest around 10 minutes away, as well as many local footpaths. The coast is around 45 minutes away for a day at the beach.
Roughly 40 minutes’ drive to the North East and you will be in Norwich where you can get to explore the historical city. Elsewhere you’ll find areas like Thetford Forest, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds where you can experience forest walks, mountain biking, horse racing or a stroll around the Cathedral Town.
Other local and popular attractions include Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens, Diss Golf Course, Fersfield Airfield, Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve, Snetterton Race Circuit, Wymondham Abbey and Thetford Forest where you can experience paintball, Go Ape, Mountain Bike Trails or a forest walk. You could even head towards the coastal retreats of Southwold, Lowestoft or Cromer all at around an hour’s drive.

This barn was stunning, very large, clean and very well equipped. The bedding was such good quality and beds were so comfortable. The decor was so beautiful.We had a mock family Christmas and the Christmas tree and room was decorated so beautifully. The welcome pack was amazing with good quality items. Hot tub was great and again everything was provided. The owner Jo was lovely and was on hand to help with anything we needed. We loved it so much we will be booking again for next year. The most perfect beautiful barn for a group stay. Every detail had been considered from kitchen equipment, bathrooms, towels for the hot tub…. an endless list of thoughtfulness for the guest. Five star accommodation.

This is an amazing property which is clean and fully equipped with everything you could need and more.We visited as a family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children 9-13) and everyone loved it.The hot tub and outdoor area has been furnished to a high standard and the patio heater meant we were able to spend time out there even in October.The sky TV package and ipad were an additional bonus.There were some lovely Halloween activities in the local area.We had a fantastic holiday there and I honestly couldn't not find any faults.We met one if the hosts when we arrived who immediately made us feel welcome and the welcome basket was above and beyond our expectations. I would 100% recommend this property.
