With its main aspect facing north, guests are treated to panoramic views that stretch across miles of rolling countryside.
The heart of the home is the welcoming living area, complete with cosy sofas, a smart TV, wood-burning stove and dining space for entertaining. The well-equipped kitchen includes a breakfast area ideal for leisurely starts to the day. The property features three generously sized bedrooms and two modern bathrooms, one with a shower over bath and the other a shower cubicle, both with heated towel rails.
Outside, the rear patio boasts a private hot tub, garden furniture, and those truly breathtaking views.
The surrounding area offers a rich tapestry of activities, heritage sites and natural beauty. Just a short drive away, Barnard Castle itself is a must-visit, with its impressive castle ruins perched above the River Tees and the world-renowned Bowes Museum, home to an exceptional collection of fine and decorative arts. Nature lovers will find themselves spoiled for choice, the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies on the doorstep, offering fantastic walking and cycling routes through dramatic moorlands, waterfalls, and valleys. The Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks are both within easy reach for memorable day trips.

Beautiful cottage, beautiful views, what you see in the photos is exactly what you get, clean beautifully furnished, owner has left supplies what you may need. Plenty of towels. I could literally wake up to that view every day and would visit again in a heartbeat

The cottage itself is fabulous! Great size, had everything you need and very clean. The view to the rear is unbelievable. Beautiful sunsets. The hot tub was lovely. Only a couple of downsides, this property is located right on the A66 which is a very busy and noisy road. We didn’t see any mention of this before booking so definitely something to be aware of. The rear garden is quite small making it difficult if you have small children and was hard with the dog. I would recommend this property however I would highlight its location next to the main road
