Captains Quarters is a great place to stay, comfortable beds, location fabulous with fantastic views. Yes there is noise from the bar below, slamming doors and punters chatting outside, but manageable with earplugs if you are early to bed. The upstairs shower is an issue regarding lack of water pressure and goes from hot to cold every 20 seconds or so. Would it stop us from staying here again, absolutely not! The location and view is definitely worth it!

This is a lovely apartment, very clean and decorated well. The view is fantastic. There is no outside space to toilet your dog, so at night you have to cross the road to the green opposite, which is not ideal. The main issue is the noise, paper thin walls meant that if the neighbour had the TV on late at night whilst we were in bed, it may as well have been in our room!! The pub below is on the whole quiet, but you can hear the constant mumble of people talking and people talking loudly outside stood around whilst having a cigarette, and the door opening and closing literally shakes the building, also the pubs alarm went off at 5am during our stay, and there was no contact number of who to call during such an eventuality. The road is busy so the noise from that is also quite loud, I would say not ideal for those with young children or who are looking for a peaceful stay by the coast.Seaton Carew is small, no dog friendly restaurants and also right next to an industrial area, but the prom is lovely and it is possible to walk into Hartlepool.
