Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. The hot tub, comfortable furnishings, and peaceful location are frequently mentioned as standout features. While a few minor maintenance issues and sensitive fire alarms were noted, these did not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The property is especially appreciated by dog owners and families, with many guests eager to return and recommend it to others.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as immaculate and second to none, with guests noting the property is beautifully presented and well maintained. Only one review mentioned a minor issue with smoke alarms, but this did not relate to cleanliness.

The location is praised for its peacefulness, beautiful views, and proximity to both Newcastle and Northumberland attractions. Guests appreciate the tranquillity and access to nature, though a car is considered essential due to the remote setting.

Guests find the house extremely comfortable, with special mention of the beds, sofas, and cosy atmosphere. The master bedroom and living spaces are highlighted as particularly inviting. A few minor comments about heating and a noisy radiator were noted but did not significantly impact overall comfort.

Facilities are highly rated, with the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful extras like an air fryer and PS4 frequently mentioned. Some minor issues with heating, WiFi, and sensitive fire alarms were reported, but these were generally resolved quickly or did not detract from the overall experience.

Guests consistently mention thoughtful touches such as welcome packs, treats for dogs, and extras for children. While many appreciated these gifts, it should be noted that such items are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a fantastic 7 nights stay at Whittle Dene Reservoir House last week. The house is so lovely, the furniture really comfortable, shower is excellent, the decor and artwork around the house was great. The garden areas are private and tidy (ideal for our Labrador). The location next to the reservoirs for fishing couldn't be better. There is a nice walk within 2 minutes along Hadrian's Wall to the Robin Hood pub 1 mile away.Loved the living room within the hexagonal tower with the spacious main bedroom directly above.Great places to visit around the area, all within an hour (or less), Northumberland is brilliant.Would highly recommend.

Wow! What a fantastic house! The bedroom is absolutely beautiful. Hands down the nicest house that we have stayed in. The house is immaculate and very well equipped there is nothing that hasnt been thought of. Beautiful gardens, 2 new patio tables, not the ones shown in the pictures. Nice and secure for our dog. The hot tub is absolutely huge, the dressing gown and slippers provided was a nice touch. Lovely little welcome pack when you arrive. We absolutely loved the pictures from the artist on the walls so it was nice to have the info about them in the welcome book so we can purchase some ourselves. The only niggle we had was the welcome email stated the hot tub would be serviced daily usually between 8am and 10am and it was this wasn't the case but that wouldn't put me off in future. I would 100 percent rebook this place in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed.
