We had a wonderful week at Whittle Dean, by far the best equipped house we’ve stayed in when it came to kitchen equipment, even things like picnic equipment and Tupperware, ice buckets and a jug for Pimm’s (or squash - boo!). There were indoor and outdoor games for all to play, we had fun playing giant jenga and croquet on the lawn. Hot tub was beautiful, our smaller dog realised she could get out under the gates, so might need to keep an eye on smaller dogs… The pictures honestly do not do the houses grandeur justice, it’s absolutely breathtaking! Absolutely worth the money for a week, very comfortable. We visited Locomotion, Alnwick Castle, Edinburgh, Bamburgh, and Beamish and had a great time at all. Was our boys first time fishing and they did (and loved it) most afternoons right opposite the house. Lovely quiet remote area.

Second time at the house for our family two week holiday. Everything was perfect. We met many of the guys who checked the hot tub each day and they were really great. The house is stunning and unique yet feels like home. We will be back. Thank you to all who make this place so special.

What a gorgeous cottage! Everything we needed for the perfect break. Quiet, views, comfort and the extra's were very much appreciated. I didn't realise there would be a welcome package of essentials. Also bath robes and slippers to get you to and from the hot tub. Looking forward to booking this cottage again.
