Guests have consistently praised Alncroft for its cosiness, well-equipped nature, and convenient location near beautiful beaches and local amenities. The cottage's charm, coupled with the owner's attentiveness and provision of a welcome pack, contributes to a 'home from home' experience. The surrounding area offers plenty to explore, with recommendations for local attractions and eateries.
Reviewers consistently describe the cottage as clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating a high standard maintained by the owner.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, local shops, and attractions. Some guests mention it being slightly out of the way, but this is offset by the benefits of having a car.
The cottage is repeatedly referred to as cosy and comfortable, with comfy beds and a homely feel. However, a mention of the shower being small for taller individuals slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and having good Wi-Fi. The mention of a broken bed, which was promptly fixed, indicates good maintenance but necessitates a slight deduction.
The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of a welcome pack and additional advice. While gifts are mentioned and appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed.
