In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is perfectly located for exploring this unspoilt county and set on a Heritage Coastal route with some of the finest beaches in Britain. Within 1 mile from a secluded sandy bay and coastal walks. Nearby is the village post office. Alnwick, 4 miles, with the castle used as ‘Hogwarts’ in the Harry Potter films. Bottle of wine on arrival. Shop 200 yards, pub 1½ miles, restaurant 2 miles.

We had an excellent week at Alncroft. The cottage was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed and more, including a pleasant outside area to sit in the warm evenings we were lucky to have. The coastal area is wonderful and the nearby Howick Estate unmissable. We rarely travelled more than a few miles to be in spectacular surroundings Thank you Mr Fordy.
