Boulmer is a delightful fishing village which is home to a volunteer lifeboat station and RAF Boulmer and is just a few miles from the picturesque village of Alnmouth. The idyllic village of Alnmouth is on the doorstep which boasts miles of sandy beaches just waiting to be discovered as well as a good selection of shops and eateries and a golf course. Jump in the car for a short but scenic drive to Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, with attractions a little further afield including Dunstanburgh Castle, Howick Hall and Gardens, Northumberland Country Zoo, Farne Islands and Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre. Activities worth having a go at while you’re here include golf at Alnmouth Golf Club, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre, surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach and sailing at Beadnell Sailing Club. Just outside of the village you can find the lovely seaside town of Alnmouth with its picturesque beach, eateries, and the close by Warkworth Castle.
