Within walking distance of a glorious expanse of golden, sandy beach, which must be one of the most best kept secrets in Northumberland, this delightful bungalow has been refurbished to offer excellent holiday accommodation. Bickertons Field faces onto the village green tucked within a peaceful cul-de-sac at High Newton by the Sea. The accommodation is all at ground floor level and the open fire in the living room ensures a cosy welcome awaits guests regardless of the season. The large, enclosed garden at the rear is idyllic for a spot of al fresco dining whilst enjoying the uninterrupted views across open farmland. A pub, which is hugely popular with locals and visitors alike, is renowned for its excellent cuisine (limited opening hours) is only a gentle stroll away. The friendly village of Beadnell also boasts a beautiful bay with rocky outcrops and attracts many water sports enthusiasts, and is only 5 miles up the seashore.

Great quiet location, well equipped and very spacious, even with 6 people in property. Only issue was lack of instruction regarding storage heaters operation and unable to heat property up on arrival to take the chill off after it been empty. But would go back again due to location and nice basic comfortable stay with everything you may need within the property and nice back garden with open views and beach only 10 minute walk away.

Lovely location being so close to the beach and plenty to do in the surrounding area.The accommodation is very well equipped if you're self catering and there's plenty of room for six people, with a pleasant garden outside.As mentioned in another recent review there are a few things that need fixing and we also had problems getting any hot water. Some instructions would be helpful! We had no hot water out of the sink taps, including the kitchen, the water from the shower in the main bathroom was sometimes very slow to heat up and the ensuite shower resulted in several cold showers!Apart from that we had a great holiday and will be going back next year.
