Guests say

Number 1 in Alnwick is a spacious, well-equipped cottage praised for its excellent location just a short walk from the town centre. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, and dog-friendly features. The property is generally clean and cosy, with two bathrooms and a secure garden. Some guests noted minor issues such as occasional dampness, limited starter packs for the log burner, and the steep hill location, but overall, the cottage is highly recommended for families and dog owners seeking a convenient base to explore Alnwick and Northumberland.

Most guests found the property clean and well-maintained, with particular praise for the bathrooms and kitchen. However, a few reviews mentioned issues such as dampness, mould, cobwebs, and a dirty bin, which slightly lowered the overall impression.

The location is frequently highlighted as a major strength, being just a few minutes' walk from Alnwick's centre, shops, and attractions. The only drawback mentioned is the steep hill, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a cosy lounge. The property is warm and inviting, though a few guests found it a bit cold during winter and noted some furniture could be refreshed.

The cottage is described as well-equipped, with a good kitchen, two bathrooms, and reliable WiFi. Some guests noted the absence of a tumble dryer, limited games, and small starter packs for the log burner, but overall facilities are highly rated.

Guests appreciated touches like basic condiments, cleaning materials, and rechargeable torches. Some mentioned the house being decorated for Christmas and heating being on for arrival. Please note that such thoughtful extras are not guaranteed for every stay.
