Really good communication before and during our stay from Trudy and Rachel. Rachel was particularly helpful with our queries. It’s a lovely cottage and place to visit. We stayed for a week using it as a base to explore Northumberland. Plenty of walks and history on Holy Island. Northumberland has so much to offer it’s a lovely part of the country that we have not visited before. Although gave five stars for local amenities it suited us but you can’t just pop out if you need supplies . Basic items are available however, most shops close when the causeway is closed. It’s not far to villages or a supermarket on mainland just ensure you plan your journey with the tides. Holy island is quiet and peaceful a lovely change from city life.

Absolutely beautiful cottage on my favourite island. Comfortable, clean, everything you need. Cottage has it's own unique character, a garden for sitting out in and for dogs (garden wall isn't very high but ours didn't attempt to jump over it so was fine for us) and what a view to wake up to from our back bedroom window! I put average for local amenities as in food shops etc, but that is the nature of a small village on an island which you expect and has never bothered me in my 16 visits to Holy Island. You just go prepared. First time at the Haven, and I intend to stay there again. ❤️
