The accommodation provides home from home comfort and is conveniently all on the ground floor.
The kitchen/diner overlooks the lovely rear lawned garden. With a double bedroom and twin bedroom this is a great place for a small family, couples or friends.
Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers good local facilities. There is a village shop with post office, stylish café selling lovely food and snacks and a pub with family friendly restaurant renowned for its delicious food nearby.
A 2 minute walk will take you to the small sandy bay speckled with rocky outcrops, leading to a long sandy beach that stretches to Seahouses, 2 miles north. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach, Beadnell Bay is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba. 2 miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse riding; fishing and golf on the links close by. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its majestic fortress. Holy Island, the birthplace of Christianity in England and site of Lindisfarne Castle, can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach.
Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall, and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! A stay at Beadnell is an excellent choice giving easy access to explore the 20 miles of Heritage coastline, recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Beach 400 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

the cottage was clean and spacious very well appointed with everything you need however a map of the street and locations of pub and parks ie grassy areas for dogs without getting in the car would be good this could be just hand drawn with you are here directions to sea front access shown also a radio in kitchen may be of use but still all in all a welcome break we will probably be back next year

Stayed at Gan Hyem for a week. Lovely bungalow in perfect location. There are restaurants, pubs, beaches, cafes all within walking distance. The bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed. If you have a dog this is a perfect choice as the garden is fully enclosed and secure. The welcome tray was excellent with treats for us and the dog. There was a power cut on our first night and the owner messaged to check we were ok. This was much appreciated. We love the area and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend.

I had 2 concerns.Tumble dryer filter was filthy which I cleaned to the best I could.Despite advert saying towels were provided no towels were left, no details to contact anyone which meant I had to purchase them on a next day delivery which meant visiting in till they arrived.
