These small outcrops are famed amongst bird watchers for their wealth of species. However, if you're looking for a more urban environment Bamburgh is close by, as is the market town of Alnwick.

We only found out the afternoon prior to arrival when I chased the owner for the details of welcome info. We have never let our dog on any furniture, but he normally sleeps in his own bed on the landing. He stayed in the hall, but didnât settle. This is something that should definitely be put in the listing as it could be an issue to future renters. The only other point is, it would have been nice to have a blind in the en-suite as it faces the road, it did have opaque glass. I would recommend this property, but Sykes listing needs to be amended.

The new sofas and chairs are a great improvement and very comfy. Very clean and warm. Beds are lovely, slept very well. The only slight niggle is the unpredictable shower in the main bathroom- too hot then cold at times. Other than that, perfect. We have booked up again for early December!
