First impressions were bad. The estate felt quite rough ( obviously wasn’t as the average small house is selling around 250,000 ) and the peeling paint on the porch set a negative tone straight away. The property is a small first-time buyer home that has been furnished relatively cheaply. Both the sofa and the general furniture felt low to mid quality, and there was a lack of storage space , particularly in the kitchen. The cooker control knobs have faded so the settings are invisible, and the shower had a poor flow force. Another quirk was the kitchen sink, which gurgles loudly unless you keep the plug permanently pressed in. Also , the TV in the main bedroom is useless—it’s tiny and positioned right next to the headboard, making it impossible to watch. There were a few highlights. We arrived to a welcome pack containing coffee pods, crisps, and chocolate, which was a kind gesture. The washer-dryer was excellent. The standout feature is definitely the decking area; it overlooks the lake ( there are fish in there so bring your rod and you can fish from the balcony ) and offers a soothing view that provided much-needed relaxation away from the issues inside the house.Despite the great decking and the welcome snacks, the combination of furnishings and maintenance means I won’t be returning. It needs investment to be a great holiday rental and for the price I paid I expect a higher standard. I’d put this home at no more than 100 a night value in March.

Holiday home was nice but has room for improvement.More basic equipment in the house, cutting boards, laundry basket/clothes horse, pegs for outside clothes line, highchair.Bedrooms could do with new covers/pillows and new mattress probably although it was comfy enough.Chest of drawers was broken on arrival and unusable.Bathroom, broken tiles, mould and poor water pressure from electric shower (I understand this might be hard to fix but the shower was almost unusable due to poor pressure)Cleanliness... had dust, cobwebs, marks on window ledge, and some dirty utensils which need to be cleaned before using.Outside area was nice, during summer it would be a nice sun trap, gate need attention as hard to open/close due to it dropping (age/wear and tear). Bin covers also need replacing or fixing with proper handles on them to make opening easier.Parking area seems a bit clunky and if every house was was full and had cars I think people would struggle with pets/kids(prams)Great location for travel and easy walk down to the beach with great care/restaurant's around.Overall enjoyed my stay, would return to the area but would pick a different place to stay unless the above was addressed to as the location of the house is great with a fantastic outlook for peace and quietness.
