One of the highlights aside from the breathtaking views, is the fabulous, detached boot room, perfect for coats and equipment, equipped with a washer. An additional building is ideal for separate storage space for cycles, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts exploring the surrounding countryside. And what a countryside it is! With abundant wildlife in the surrounding fields, including deer, rabbits, squirrels, and a variety of birdlife, nature enthusiasts will be in their element. We enjoyed our second stay at The Haining. The property was immaculate and well maintained. The new kitchen was an easy improvement but still lacked work surface space. We found the lower bathroom/wet room floor very slippery once wet, the type of shower head meant that probably 2/3 of floor space became wet - an accident waiting to happen.More provision for enjoying the outside areas would be good.

Our 2nd visit and hopefully not our last. A beautiful location for a great house. Everything you could need, comfy beds, great showers, a view to die for, and in quite remote giving you peace and quiet. Watched the deer every day, barn owl, hares, and bats in the evening. Location wise, well placed to visit all Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Kielder close by along with Cragside (NT) the coast and Alnwick. Highly recommend.
