Guests say

Links View in Embleton is a well-loved cottage, praised for its stunning sea views and peaceful location. Guests consistently commend the property's cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature, making it a favourite for return visits. The modernised facilities and tasteful seaside-themed decor add to the charm of this Northumberland retreat.

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it lovely and clean. However, a few guests noted areas that could benefit from more thorough cleaning, such as under kitchen cupboards and around the bathroom basin, as well as cobwebs and weeds on the patio.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to local walks, beaches, and the village's facilities. The peaceful setting and the view of Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance are particularly appreciated.

Guests describe the property as warm, cosy, and very comfortable, with high-quality furnishings. However, there was an instance of inadequate heating upon arrival, which affected the initial comfort level for those guests.

The property is considered well-equipped and tastefully decorated, with a special mention of the excellent bathroom. Some guests suggested minor improvements, such as additional chairs for the balcony and smaller cutlery for children. Maintenance issues like a broken chair and letterbox were also noted.

While the reviews reflect a high standard of care in the property's presentation and amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness beyond the expected hospitality. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Ascend a selection of steps to find a bathroom where you can enjoy a refreshing shower after a day spent out in the countryside. From here you will find several more steps leading down to three bedrooms, a double with blue décor, a single and a second single with a pull-out bed and access to the garden through patio doors. Explore the wonders of Northumberland with a stay at Links View.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

It is our second visit and hope to return again next year. Just a couple of things that may be worth thinking about: A new bathroom lock ( we were 4 friends so had to sing lol) The bathroom window doesn’t shut properly The shower is a little juddery - although still perfectly functional A tin opener. Non of these things detracted from our stay. Loved it and would definitely recommend . It has got to have one of the best views in Northumberland and it is such a pleasure to wake up to it. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This is our first visit since 5 years ago. Still as beautiful and peaceful as ever with breath taking views! Inside of cottage lovely and clean but lots of cobwebs and weeds on the back patio and balcony doors. Not a complaint but found the kitchen not as well equipped as previous stays e.g.out of the 7 mis matched mugs 3 were chipped so could not use them, no serving bowls and no tin opener! However, really enjoyed our stay at the lovely cottage
