The cottage, was very nice white clean comfy bedding . Excellent washing machine , excellent hover excellent central heating . However Basic kitchen facilities pot and pans limited , knifes and folks limited. ( Possibly the result of a long summer and breakages etc ) Lovely conservatory, shared garden pehens and peacock roaming during the day, cows in the field behind . Nice to just sit and relax.Had not realised the WC / shower was down stairs and due to the age of the building the stairs are quite steep so be mindful if you need WC in the night frequently. It wasn't a issue to us however my elderly parents would have struggled if they was with us getting up and down frequently. small children there was a wooden safety gate you could put up on the stairs.if needed . There is a 3rd room upstairs a little viewing room to watch the sunset / games room if we was to visit again I would consider bringing our camping WCThere is a bird sanctuary right on the site ( not sure if you can have a look round we never asked ) but it was nice seeing different types of birds. There is a swan in a small pond in the courtyard. Our dog loved the beach and if you are a walker the area is nice to walk down the beach and country lanes . Be mindful that the roads don't all have footpaths. Shopping isn't not to far away ,and a good size fridge and freezer is at the cottage .

Cottage in good location for Cumbria coast and lake district. Two comments about the property, didn't realise only a downstairs toilet and as mentioned in previous reviews a lack of basic kitchen equipment eg no tin opener! Also surprised there was no welcome / information folder
