Guests say

The Granary in Wigton is highly praised for its modern, spacious interiors and immaculate condition. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, high standard of cleanliness, and thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts. The location offers easy access to both beach and mountains, with beautiful scenery and friendly locals. Some minor suggestions for improvement include net curtains for privacy and better Wi-Fi. Overall, it's a well-equipped cottage ideal for a luxury break or a peaceful retreat in Cumbria.

Reviewers consistently mention the immaculate condition and high standard of cleanliness, with one guest highlighting the exceptional housekeeping. The property is maintained to a very new and unworn standard.

The cottage is appreciated for its good location with beautiful scenery and proximity to both beach and mountains. It is also conveniently placed for visiting Carlisle and the northern areas, though some guests desired more nearby dining options.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage homely, with a good heating system and well-fitted bathrooms. However, one review mentions the settees being a bit uncomfortable, which slightly impacts the score.

The property is well-equipped with all necessary appliances and amenities, as noted by guests. Some guests suggested improvements such as better Wi-Fi and additional information for appliance use and recycling.

While guests are delighted with the welcome gifts and consider them a thoughtful touch, there is not enough information to determine if such thoughtfulness extends to other aspects of the guest experience. Therefore, it is important to note that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Spotlessly clean. Easy parking. Quiet location. Good centre for the coast, Cockermouth and Carlisle. Best to approach the property by driving through the village so there is a shorter section of narrow road to navigate.

Two small suggestions 1) net curtains on the front facing windows would offer additional privacy. 2) WIFI coverage was reasonable but a little slow, possibly arrange for the holiday home to have its own WIFI supply?. But we'd definitely stay here again thanks
