Outside, this Great Clifton cottage offers spacious lawns and a lovely sitting area to enjoy alfresco dining. There is excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep, and plenty to see and do in every direction. Loweswater and Crummock Water are nearby and offer the more adventurous some very challenging fell walking. The nearby coastline is a real delight and of course the many delights of Keswick are just a short drive away. This Great Clifton cottage is perfect, at any time of year.
The village of Great Clifton is situated five miles from the town of Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The area around the village is largely undiscovered and unspoilt with the Loweswater valley and mountains offering dramatic views and scenary. Cockermouth is the birthplace of William Wordsworth, with his Georgian family home now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust, plus the town offers shops, pubs and places to eat. The layout is fantastic with the games room downstairs and fantastic garden for the kids. Brilliant having 4 bathrooms and a very spacious living area. Decorated beautifully and very comfortable. The outside spaces are great for gathering and having a bbq. We would definitely recommend.
