This semi-detached, pretty country cottage has bright, spacious rooms and is perfect for families and friends exploring Cumbria. Set in the village of Blencarn near Penrith, the cottage has four, well-appointed bedrooms on the first floor, including a master room with double aspect windows, an apex ceiling and en-suite shower. Also on the first floor is a family bathroom where you can enjoy an invigorating morning shower, or a nice relaxing bubble bath in the evenings. Downstairs is a wonderful social kitchen, with a door into the garden and a breakfast table where you can plot the day’s adventures together over breakfast.

There is also a large sitting room with a woodburning stove and a formal dining room with an open fire, so you’re sure to stay warm and cosy during your stay! There is an enclosed garden with both lawn and terraced areas, and the paved patio is the perfect place to sit with lunch or dinner when the sun is shining. The location is peaceful and serene, making it an excellent choice for escaping the stresses and mayhem of day-today life. Note: This cottage can be booked with Ref. 944059, together they sleep 11.

The quiet village of Blencarn is situated in Cumbria, between the North Pennines aonb and the Lake District National Park. Its name means ‘summit crag’, given for the presence of Cross Fell that looms over the village. Experienced hikers can enjoy wonderful views from its peak, of the surrounding region, and there are an abundance of circular walks for all abilities also in close proximity. An excellent base for walkers and cyclists.
