Farleton View offers a spacious, well-equipped cottage in a peaceful location with easy access to the Lake District. Guests appreciate the quiet setting, comfortable beds, and ample kitchen amenities. While many found the property clean and homely, some noted areas needing attention, such as the garden, minor maintenance, and occasional cleaning issues. The garden is not enclosed, which may not suit dog owners. Overall, the cottage provides good value and a pleasant base for exploring the area.
Several guests found the property clean and comfortable, but there are recurring mentions of dust, cobwebs, stained sheets, and occasional musty smells. One review reported a significant cleanliness issue, but most found the house acceptably clean, though some areas could benefit from a deeper clean.
The location is frequently praised for its quietness, pleasant views, and proximity to Kendal and the Lake District. While there are no immediate amenities like shops or pubs, guests found it a great base for exploring the region.
Guests generally found the cottage spacious and comfortable, with good beds and a homely feel. Some noted outdated decor, old sofas, and minor issues with towels and bedding, but overall comfort levels were positive.
The kitchen is well equipped and the house has most essentials, but guests noted a lack of basic supplies (toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets), slow shower drainage, and maintenance issues in the garden and with doors. The garden is not enclosed, which may be inconvenient for those with dogs.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches. Some guests felt the lack of basic supplies and cleaning products showed a lack of attention to guest needs. If gifts are provided, please note they are not guaranteed.

Overal good. Feels like a home.BIG MINUS: wastewater in shower does not drain away quick enough. After half a minute you have to turn the tap off and wait for the water to drain away. Very uncomfortable!!!

Lovely cottage in general and good value for money, not great for families of young kids with the garden going off one of the bedrooms at the back A few things are a little tired and could do with some TLC I think this cottage could go from a 6/10 to a 9/10 with a weeks work and £1000 bringing it back to life Note - very clean and no isues with cleaning like some other reviews mention
