! We loved the extra little touches with the Prosecco and mince pies, thank you. The only complaint we have was that the shower has no pressure and there was no outside/entrance light. We arrived in the dark and it was a little tricky finding the cottage. Other than that is absolutely lovely!

We were warm with plenty of space for the four of us. Great kitchen for a full Christmas dinner, well equipped in every way. The location is fabulous for walks from the door, visits to Wirksworth, Ashbourne, Chatsworth just a few miles away. The Old Dog pub serves great food. Nothing missing from this familyâs Christmas memories in Thorpe. (Midnight mass on Christmas Eve a real treat)

Not a problem for us but might be useful for others. The shower was next to useless, very weak. The timings for the heating needed adjusting, for the time of year and the clock changes. We had to keep manually turning it on. Lack of hanging options for clothes in most rooms. Overall a lovely location, in walking distance of Dovedale stepping stones, and well equipped cottage.
