Lovely short stay in Mill Race cottage. It’s a cosy home and an ideal base to explore the Peak District, there is so much to do in and around Bakewell. There are beautiful walks in the countryside and plenty of places to eat and drink in Bakewell if you don’t fancy cooking. The cottage was warm and cosy in the cold weather, the lounge was ideal to relax in, the bedroom is huge, really comfy bed, bathroom was super warm and well appointed. Parking worked out fine, there were options nearby if the space by the house wasn’t available. My only negative would be to agree with some comments from other guests that the cottage would benefit from secondary glazing, to make it quieter. The cottage faces onto the road but it’s not too busy overnight.
