About this property

Stay in a traditional Peak District farmhouse with an AGA, two log burners and an open fireplace. The Farmhouse and Annexe at Uppermoor Farm sleep 20 people in nine beautiful bedrooms, four reception rooms, fantastic self-catering amenities, and unforgettable views. It's wonderfully private, is set amongst 70 acres on a family-run farm 15-minutes from Ashbourne and within easy reach of favourite Peak District attractions, including the Tissington Trail and Chatsworth House. The big group holiday home is ideal for hosting a celebration, accommodating your wedding party or guests from out of town, or running a yoga or wellness retreat.

Peak District Holiday Cottage is an incredible Farmhouse and Annexe in a beautiful rural location near Ashbourne in the Peak District National Park. The owners have lovingly created a gorgeous self-catering property, presenting a ‘homely space’ that feels luxurious and incredibly welcoming with far-reaching views over the Derbyshire Dales. The property sleeps 20 guests in nine bedrooms, and eight bathrooms and for larger numbers this can be increased to 24 when adding the smaller Coach House to sleep a further four guests in two ensuite bedrooms. It’s the perfect large group accommodation for holding a celebration or special occasion, milestone birthday, wedding anniversary, or Christmas, a re-union with friends and family or hosting a hen party.

This luxurious ‘flagship property’ at Uppermoor Farm is a family owned and run business and has a prime location a mile and half outside the pretty village of Parwich. The village has a small shop, a traditional pub (The Sycamore Inn) and incredible scenery. The White Peak region is popular year-round for walking and cycling enthusiasts as its near the routes of the traffic-free High Peak and Tissington Trails and the Limestone Way, all of which are accessed within easy reach of Uppermoor Farm. Close by is Royston Grange, where archaeological digs show evidence of people settling here more that 6,000 years ago. Antique shops, supermarkets, bistro’s and restaurants can all be found eight miles away in the market town of Ashbourne. Most guests opt to have their groceries delivered after their arrival, making their stay even more relaxed and stress free. Bakewell, with its famous ‘Bakewell Pudding Shop’, and huge weekly market, and also the Spa town of Buxton with its own opera house and pavilion gardens are just 12 miles from Uppermoor Farm.

There are so many beautiful places to visit and fun things to do in the Peak District, regardless of your age or interests. Chatsworth House is a full day out with its incredible collections of art and furniture and spectacular gardens and feature fountain; there is a farmyard and play area for the younger ones too. Blue John Cavern and Poole’s Cavern are great all-weather attractions and there are countless historic houses and sites like Haddon Hall, Dovedale Stepping Stones, and the ‘old plague’ village of Eyam to visit too. The younger ones enjoy the exciting rides at Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock or ‘Go Ape’ in Buxton. Alternatively, light the BBQ and just chill out and enjoy the panoramic views and sunsets in great company.
