Nearby is Bakewell with one of the oldest weekly markets in the area, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath, all easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the property for those who enjoy the outdoors and plenty of off road cycling tracks. Matlock has a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well known resort on the River Derwent. Visit the popular Heights of Abraham cable cars and enjoy other numerous entertainments throughout the year. The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn. From horse riding at Darley Dale and Hazelwood to rock climbing in Cressbrook, there is no shortage of things to do in the Derbyshire Dales. Converted in 2005 and part of a former corn mill complex is this beautiful three bedroom cottage, ideal for long and short getaways.
