Guests say

Guests consistently praise the cosy and comfortable atmosphere of 2 Brightmore Terrace, appreciating its well-equipped nature and ideal location in the charming village of Tideswell. The property's cleanliness, thoughtful touches, and the responsiveness of the host contribute to a delightful stay, with many expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is frequently described as clean and well-presented. One mention of cigarette butts and old, stained towels suggests minor oversights, but these are exceptions in an otherwise high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, proximity to local amenities, and as a great base for exploring the Peak District. The village of Tideswell is noted for its charm and convenience.

Many reviews highlight the comfort of the cottage, mentioning the cosy log burner, underfloor heating, and comfortable beds. The property is described as warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxation.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good wifi. However, there are several references to issues with heating and a loose toilet seat, indicating some maintenance concerns.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches such as festive decorations and welcome treats. While these are well-received, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very warm and welcoming after a rainy drive up. The rain didn't stay though and the sun shone on the (heatlamped if you needed it) courtyard garden in the morning and on the front terrace for all the afternoon and in to the evening. A bright, airy cosy and tastefully decorated cottage that felt like home and we wouldn't hesitate recommending a stay here. It was really lovely - thank you x

We even had good enough weather to make use of the pleasant seating area to the front. Beds were all super comfy and we loved the under floor heating. A dust pan and brush would have been helpful and we could have made use of larger pint style glasses. Highly recommend Pie night at the Star Inn!!!! We would definitely recommend this property.

Lounge was very cosy with the log burner and underfloor heating . Shower really nice and the bed very comfortable. Pub is a 2 minute walk away which served really nice meals and dog friendly too .Some welcome treats left by Amy which was really nice too . Would definitely recommend to stay here .
