Just a short drive away, you are bound to find plenty of exciting activities to keep you occupied, from Alton Towers and the Heights of Abraham to elegant Chatsworth House. Buxton is a popular town in Derbyshire, close to the beautiful Peak District National Park. The towns heyday was in the 18th and 19th century, when the imposing architecture which so defines the town was built, including the Opera House, which still offers a full and varied programme today.

The views are spectacular from the windows and driveway. There is room for two or three cars on the grounds which enabled room for football playing and ball catching for out three teens. The double room was great for the boys and single room plenty of space for a teenage girl. She loved to sit on the window sill and be peaceful. The kitchen and dining room have everything you need and we had great family meals every night. One little tiny gripe was the old frying pan, was warped, so cooking took a little longer than expected. If this is replaced we have no complaints. The living area served well for some family cards and games time and the opposite end of the room had the open fire which we taught the children how to make a fire at. They enjoyed trying it out and even though we had hot days it was still lovely in the evenings to sit together. There isnât any WiFi - GREAT! served our kids well to actually talk to us or enjoy a film together. Information in the file and folder is helpful and their whole cottage really was so lovely and a restful place to be. I would certainly return here and the children just really loved it.

Just off a main road, it somehow still manages to feel peaceful and relaxing. Just 10 minutes drive from Buxton, a beautiful town and a tonne of walking paths from the front door, it's in also in a brilliant location. Stunning views all around. Clean house. The only slight "could be an issue" issues.. there is no WiFi. I hadn't checked this and had one teen going crazy with WiFi withdrawals as a result
