Smallshaw Cottages be found in an elevated position, with a setting that can only be described as stunning. Offering fabulous panoramic views of the Peak District National Park, this wing of a larger property has been lovingly restored and offers enough space to enjoy a family escape to the country. The Farmhouse retains its original character through exposed beams and stonework, and has also been lovingly and attractively furnished throughout. The Farmhouse enjoys use of extensive gardens shared with the other properties on-site, offering fabulous views and a variety of seating areas which provide the perfect place to unwind on warmer days. The gardens are complemented even further by use of a shared hot tub, Finnish barbecue house (available on request, at cost) and tennis courts. The on-site spa is complete with steam rooms, saunas, foot spas, an aromatherapy room, tropical experience shower and a Rasul mud room, as well as an outdoor area with wood-fired tub (all available at cost). Inspired by the relaxing, calming and revitalising aura of South East Asia, the spa is a haven in which to enjoy incredible facilities, set within stunning countryside, just perfect to energise the soul.
Surrounded by open fields and with uninterrupted views of the moors, Smallshaw Cottages are ideally located if you love the great outdoors. Overlooking the Trans Pennine Trail, and with your four-legged friends welcome, local walks are plentiful with many reservoirs and trails on the doorstep. There is an excellent choice of country pubs and restaurants within easy reach, and nearby attractions include the bustling town of Holmfirth, Chatsworth House, Harewood House, the ever popular market town of Bakewell or spa town of Buxton. If you’re missing the bright lights of city life, Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester are no more than a 40-minute drive away. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant ½ mile.
The Farmhouse can be booked together with Birch Cottage (ref UK4185), Bramble Cottage (ref UK4186) and Rowan Cottage (ref UK4187) to accommodate up to 16 guests.

The hot tub is available from 8am to 10pm and can be booked once here via a timetable by the hot tub.
The day spa is shared with the other cottages on-site and members of the public but must be prebooked as it gets very booked up in advance. An extra cost applies to this. Details on this are on the pre arrival information on our website under the section During Your Stay.

Well what can I say it was amazing The farmhouse is just stunning log fires 🔥 beautiful comfy bedrooms everything was perfectWe had a spa morning which was incredible place, friendly people treatment was great tooWe hired the BBQ out for the evening that was fantastic & we didn’t have to clean up Views were incredible all around we saw lots of wild life it was greatWe will definitely be back

We stayed in the farmhouse, so comfortable, well equipped, lovely setting.Very remote - as stated in the details - just what we wanted, family used the spa said lovely and relaxing, we hired the bbq hut for an evening, better than we expected, lovely evening and worth the cost. Recommend and will return!
