About this property
A detached, stone barn conversion with breathtaking countryside views towards the Roaches walking area, as well as Tittesworth Reservoir. Welcoming, quality accommodation of character and style, including oak beams, exposed stonework and underfloor heating. One of three cottages, this property is next to Refs. 3563 and 3564, together they sleep 33.
The village of Meerbrook is a short walk away from Tittesworth reservoir with its visitor centre and various water based activities, making it an ideal location for anyone who loves messing around on the water. Walkers can take advantage of the village's location close to the edge of the popular area known as The Roaches and many other trails. The market town of Leek is four miles away and has a variety of shops as does the spa town of Buxton, which is slightly further afield at a distance of 12 miles. Alton Towers is a short drive away and as well as the thrilling rides on offer the park has beautiful gardens and other year round activities and attractions. This area makes a fabulous base for a family holiday.

Our last visit was 6 years ago! The cottage was as lovely as before but with added features like underfloor heating, extra lighting etc. The owner was very accommodating and we were welcomed with 2 bottles of wine and chocolates and flowers! Our large party thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the Christmas week. It was very calming and lovely to get up to see sheep in the nearby fields. The Lazy Trout pub within walking distance was also excellent and quaint with great food. Fantastic stay!
