About this property

This semi-detached, end-terrace cottage is situated in the town of Bridgnorth, only a short distance from shops and pubs, embracing a riverside position. Whether you have a couple’s holiday in mind, or are planning an adventure with friends, this retreat provides three floors of excellence, ensuring you feel truly relaxed during your stay. From the comfy sitting room with its table for four people, and charming woodburning stove, to the contemporary kitchen; the ground floor layout is your own little renovated space to simply unwind. The first floor showcases a king-size double bedroom looking out over the calm river waters, and a delightful modern shower room, so you can get ready in style during your stay.

The second floor is equally as desirable presenting a super king-size bedroom, this time with a zip/link option for flexibility, a skylight window to welcome in the natural light and an en-suite cloakroom for convenience. Outdoors you will discover a lovely enclosed courtyard to the rear, and an enchanting building, almost a 'cave' featuring a beautiful hot tub. You will look forward to returning here after a long day, a secluded spot to pour up something refreshing. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its ten museums and striking landscape.

The area offers excellent walking, and the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton are well worth a visit. High Town and the Low Town are both separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. A picturesque part of the country to base your getaway.

Split into two very distinct halves, the market town of Bridgnorth is composed of The High Town and the Low Town, separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the settlement is built. Connected by winding streets and flights of steps, the two halves can also be accessed by the steep funicular railway, allowing travellers to see what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom" On Saturdays a bustling street market provides an excellent excuse to explore the rest of the town and visit the castle ruins.

Very clean, hot tub fantastic. Beds comfortable ample hot water. Little court yard very dog safe. Cottage so handy for getting into town which is stunning and so many eateries and pubs!!! Parking available on street and parking permit was a godsend. Will definitely go back and recommend to anyone. Thank you for thoughtful welcome basket.

The hot tub in the cave and log burner are excellent. The owners were very responsive when we messaged with any questions. Thank you.

But for those who are thinking about booking you won't be disappointed. It is beautifully kept and well equipped. The beds and 3 piece suit are all very comfortable with added soft furnishings for extra comfort. All in all our little bit of heaven to escape from rat run. The top bedroom stairs could be difficult for some but this is always the room of my choice as its so bright in the day but still cosy in the morning. The hot tub is lovely and located in the most perfect spot so come rain or shine it's a pleasure. The cottage is well situated close to the town with plenty shops. We have booked other properties but this is definitely our favorite. We don't have a dog anymore and it always surprises me that I have never found evidence of a dog in the house which just shows the high standards of cleanliness. The owners communication is brilliant and responded to any questions we had very quickly. Nothing was to much much trouble to ensure our stay was complete. The black boy pub just behind the cottage is recommended, no frills just a nice friendly pub.
