Head further afield to the vibrant town of Shrewsbury, the birthplace of Charles Darwin and home to the second most haunted jail in the world, where visitors can take a fascinating guided tour through the empty cells. History buffs can explore the military artefacts on display at Soldiers of Shropshire Museum or if that's not your thing, head to Pride Hill Shopping Centre for a spot of window shopping.
