Y Dderwen is also close to one of yhe Seven Wonders of Wales, the magnificent Llanrhaeadr waterfall.

We had a wonderful stay the cottage is beautiful, everything was perfect for us two sisters staying with their kids. We did day trips out have an ev but managed to charge everywhere we went. There is a little shop which sells the immediate things you may need which we enjoyed walking to and could then cook dinner if needed. We loved listening to the sheep in the morning at the back fence and the views are outstanding. Couldn’t have picked a better place for a base for our adventures to the beach, snowdon and all the waterfalls. Thank you hosts

Beautiful cottage. Clean and tidy. Comfortable. Only issue for me was not having free access to go out the "backdoor" this wasn't spoken about until we arrived. The view out the back door was stunning. But my mum was told by next door they own it and we shouldn't be out there, so we felt we had to stick to the front where the views wasnt so good. All in all we had a good time but this was a little disappointing as to rent a house would mean we got to enjoy both the front and back of the property and not feel like we couldn't. Saying that Host was readily available and seemed kind and its not anyones fault, I get some properties are difficult where this involves people who own different areas of land. All in all a lovely stay..and Welcome cookies on arrival was a lovely touch :)
