Other attractions within easy reach are Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway Museum, Revolution Bike Park, Lake Vyrnwy water sports centre, and the rspb bird reserve, where you could see the ospreys feeding from the lake. Y Dderwen is also close to one of yhe Seven Wonders of Wales, the magnificent Llanrhaeadr waterfall.

Beautiful place to stay, very quiet, well equipped and comfortable. View from any window is astonishing. Plenty of places you can visit nearby. Locals very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing place to stay, just what we needed after a few weeks of stress life

This is a lovely, well equipped and very comfortable cottage. The interior design was perfect to give that homely feel yet elegant touch. The views from the garden were picturesque and the space inside was ample with plenty of seating a kitchen that was large and had everything you needed. The host was helpful and location is ideal for visiting some of the most beautiful places in Wales. I definitely recommend this place for families as well as small groups.

Very lovely break for us and our dog. Excellent communication with the owners and they had given very explicit details of how to find the cottage , which were spot on. Lots of parking .The cottage was lovely and warm on entering and has a lovely cosy atmosphere. Lovely touch with Welsh cakes(our favourite) and fresh milk.The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Beds super comfy . The outside area was lovely for sitting and watching the red kites , and our dog was safe in the enclosed garden.The village was a 5 min walk and the village shop is well stocked and has super friendly staff. The Railway pub is very good and the staff there are very friendly and accommodating. All in all a fab location and accommodation.
