Y Dderwen is also close to one of yhe Seven Wonders of Wales, the magnificent Llanrhaeadr waterfall.

The review is a little skewed as this is an area we used to live in so it was a nostalgic trip for us and the weather was unbelievable sun, sun and more sun. That aside the cottage was great. We have an EV and the nearest charger was miles away so if you visit make sure you are fully charged on arrival.

We had a lovely stay at Y Dderwen. The cottage was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything you could need. We found the beds to be very comfortable and were impressed with the plentiful supply of extra pillows and towels. The views from the cottage are stunning and the location was quiet and peaceful. For us, it was a great base for touring northern parts of Wales and was a wonderful cosy hideaway on a day when some very wet and windy weather moved in. The information and directions we received from the owner were very detailed and we had no trouble finding the cottage and everything we needed whilst there. We would definitely recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful, rural getaway and would happily stay there again.
